Download Pinterest videos on Android

On Android, open the pin, tap the three dots and choose “Copy link”. Paste it in the box above and press Download. Chrome saves the MP4 to the Downloads folder and shows it in the notification bar. Most Gallery apps pick it up automatically; if yours does not, open it from Files → Downloads.

Accepts links from pinterest.com, any country domain, and pin.it

Three steps to download

  1. Copy the pin link

In the Pinterest app, open the video pin, tap the three dots and choose “Copy link”. Alternatively use Share → Copy link.

  2. Paste it on this page

Long-press the field above and tap Paste, or use the Paste button — Chrome for Android allows it.

  3. Pick a quality and download

Resolutions are listed best first. Tap Download and Chrome starts immediately, showing progress in the notification bar.

  4. Open it

Tap the notification, or find it later in Files → Downloads. Google Photos and most Gallery apps index the folder on their own.

Android indexes media through MediaStore, and some Gallery apps only scan certain folders. When the video plays fine from Files but never appears in the Gallery, move it into the DCIM or Movies folder with any file manager — those are always scanned.

Google Photos indexes Downloads by default, but only shows the folder under Library → Device folders, not in the main timeline.

Common Android problems

Downloading many videos

On Android the site is the only route — Chrome for Android does not support extensions. If you save pins in volume, do it on a computer with the PinCrate extension, which handles a whole board in one action and names the files for you.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an APK or an app?

No, and installing an APK from a random site to download a video is a bad trade. Chrome does it natively.

Where do downloaded videos go?

Internal storage → Download. Files, My Files or any file manager opens it.

Can I download a whole board on my phone?

Not in bulk. Android browsers do not run extensions; use a desktop computer for that.
