Download Pinterest videos as MP4

Paste the pin link, pick a quality, save it. No signup, no watermark, no waiting queue.

Accepts links from pinterest.com, any country domain, and pin.it

To download a Pinterest video, copy the pin link (three dots → Copy link), paste it in the box above and press Download. PinCrate reads the public pin page, lists every resolution Pinterest stores for it, and hands you the original MP4 — no re-encoding, no watermark added, nothing kept on our server.

Three steps to download

  1. Copy the pin link

In the app, tap the three dots and choose “Copy link”. In a browser, copy the address bar.

  2. Paste it in the box above

The “Paste” button fills it for you when your browser allows. Short pin.it links work too.

  3. Pick a quality and save

We list every resolution the pin has. Hit “Download” and the MP4 goes straight to your device.

Why use this site

Built to finish fast, not to park you in a queue.

A real MP4, not a playlist

When a pin only ships HLS, we look for the matching MP4 on the CDN before handing anything over. You get a file that opens in any player.

Best quality available

We list every variant Pinterest stores — up to 1080p when it exists — and let you choose.

No watermark added

The file you get is exactly what Pinterest hosts. We add no logo, no border, no banner.

Idea Pins and carousels

Story pins keep video in a different structure. We read both layouts and hand you every page of the pin.

Nothing is stored

We keep neither the videos nor a history of what you downloaded. The file passes through and is gone.

Works on mobile

Android and iPhone, right in the browser. Nothing to install, no middleman app.

What actually works, tested

Numbers nobody can verify are worthless. This is the matrix we re-run before each release, on public pins we own or that are openly licensed. Last check: 2026-08-02.

When something goes wrong

The five failures that account for almost every support message.

The video has no sound

Some pins keep audio in a separate track and a few tools grab only the video stream. We always check the delivered MP4 carries audio. If yours is silent, the pin itself was uploaded without sound — open it on Pinterest with the volume up to confirm.

You got a 1 KB file that will not open

That is an .m3u8 playlist, not a video: a text list pointing at chunks. It happens with tools that hand over the HLS URL directly. We resolve the parallel MP4 path on the CDN and confirm it responds before showing a download button.

“Private pin” even though you can see it

You can see it because you are logged in. Our server visits Pinterest as a logged-out stranger, so secret boards and private pins are invisible to it. The extension runs inside your own session and reaches them.

Nothing happens after pressing Download on iPhone

Safari asks for confirmation before downloading. Look for the download arrow next to the address bar and confirm, then open the Files app → Downloads. Older iOS versions than 13 have no download manager at all.

“Too many requests”

The site limits how many pins one address can resolve per minute so a single script cannot take the service down. Wait a minute — or use the extension, which has no such limit because it does not go through our server.

Chrome extension

Downloading a lot? The extension is better

The site has to fetch each pin through our server. The extension runs the same extraction inside your own tab: instant, in bulk, with no middleman at all.

Coming soon to the Chrome Web StoreExtension
  • A download button on every pin in the grid
  • Grab a whole page or an entire board at once
  • Save straight into any folder you choose
  • Works with your private pins, because it uses your session
  • Templated filenames: {board}/{title} [{id}]

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?

Yes. Downloading through the site is free and unlimited, with no signup. We keep it running with unobtrusive ads placed away from the download button.

Does the video come with a watermark?

We add none. You get the original file Pinterest hosts, byte for byte. If the creator burned a TikTok or Instagram watermark into the video before uploading it, that mark is part of the file itself and no downloader can remove it.

Can I download in 1080p or 4K?

You get the highest resolution Pinterest actually stores for that pin — commonly 720p, 1080p when the author uploaded it that way. Nobody can deliver 4K from a pin that was never uploaded in 4K; a tool promising it is upscaling, which adds pixels but no detail.

Does it work with Idea Pins?

It does. Those pins store video in a page-based structure, one entry per page, and we read all of them.

Can I download images and GIFs too?

Yes. Paste any image pin and you get the originals file. Most animated GIF pins are stored by Pinterest as video, so those arrive as MP4 — which plays everywhere and weighs far less.

Do I need to install anything?

Not to use the site. The Chrome extension is optional and made for people downloading in volume or needing private pins.

Why does my private pin not work here?

The site reaches Pinterest as a logged-out visitor, so it only sees public pins. The extension runs inside your session and reaches your private ones.

Do you keep the videos I download?

No. The file is streamed at download time and nothing is saved on our server. There is no account and no download history tied to you.

Do I need an account or an app?

Neither. The site works in any modern browser on any device. The optional Chrome extension is the only thing you can install, and it also has no account.

Can I use the video however I want?

Not necessarily. The content still belongs to whoever made it. Download what is yours, what is openly licensed, or what you have permission to use — reposting someone else’s video as your own is a copyright problem regardless of the tool.

We are not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Pinterest. Only download content you own, that is openly licensed, or that you have permission to use.
